🕰️ Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 3–4
🛒 Ingredients:
- 500g pork tenderloin or pork belly (cut into bite-sized cubes)
- 6 cloves garlic (minced or sliced thinly)
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional, for extra umami)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking oil
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- Chili flakes or fresh chili (optional, for a spicy kick)
- Spring onions or toasted garlic (for garnish)
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Marinate the Pork
In a bowl, combine:
- Pork cubes
- Soy sauce
- Worcestershire sauce
- Oyster sauce (if using)
- Ground black pepper
Let it marinate for at least 15–30 minutes (or longer if you have time).
2. Sear the Pork
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated pork (reserve marinade) and sear until browned on all sides (about 6–8 minutes).
- Don’t overcrowd the pan — cook in batches if needed.
3. Add Garlic and Finish the Sauce
- Lower the heat slightly. Add garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant.
- Pour in the reserved marinade and simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Add butter and mix well until it melts and coats the pork beautifully.
- Toss in chili flakes if you want it spicy.
4. Serve and Enjoy
- Garnish with chopped spring onions or toasted garlic.
- Serve hot with steamed rice — or enjoy it with a cold drink if you’re in the mood for pulutan.
💡 Tips:
- Use pork tenderloin for a leaner version, or pork belly for extra flavor and juiciness.
- Don’t skip the butter — it gives the dish that rich, velvety finish.
- Add mushrooms or bell peppers for a veggie-packed twist.
